I am so excited to work with your students at BUCS this year! My background consists of an extensive education in drawing, design, painting, computer arts, ceramics, illustration, as well as in visual arts education. The arts not only serve as a creative outlet, but what many people don't realize is that they are DETRIMENTAL to the development of the brain. They teach skills that are not able to be learned in other subjects, simply because that part of the brain is not activated during activities that requi ... read morere logic. Problem solving, creative thinking, 21st century life skills, communication, college and career readiness are just some of the things we develop in the art room. We also learn how to empathize, speak to our peers, use knowledge and context from other areas, and experiment in the art room, so any and all support that can be given from parents is welcome!
Hobbies: knit and crochet, all things art, running my Etsy shop, and watching superhero movies!
Food: I love food, but I love some Buffalo Chicken Wings the most and CHOCOLATE!
Music: I listen to a lot of Michael Jackson and a variety of alternative music when I am creating.
