Welcome to our Acadia Art Hub. I have been teaching Art at Acadia Academy since 2018. Though I have always been an art lover and creative person, I never imagined that I would work as an Art Teacher. I work from a cart, which can be a challenge, but I don't know any different nor do I wish to teach anywhere else. I love my silly little cart. I refuse to be the teacher that only uses crayons, markers and colored pencils because they teach from a cart. I paint with kids almost every single week. I try to incorporate sculpture, clay, and fiber arts as often as I can. The beauty of teaching art is that there are literally unlimited ways to do it and materials to use. I will never get bored at this job.
I have fallen in love with my job as an art teacher in ways I never thought I would. Seeing a child feel joy and success after previously believing they couldn't do something is priceless.
