Laurie Samaniego-Crump
Welcome to my world of teaching art. I am passionate about teaching art to all ages. I received my Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting/Drawing and Sculpture at the University of Oregon in 2006. I moved to Albuquerque, NM and shortly after realized I wanted to share with others the wonderful world of art I had experienced in my life. Though I teach the skills required to become better visual artists I enjoy much more the joy and confidence they find in learning about and creating art. The excitement, the success', the obstacles, and sometimes the frustration have led me to believe that at the heart of any skilled artisan or art student is the desire to find a way to express our uniqueness or our best self, and with encouragement I know students can overcome the obstacles and self defeating talk. I hope to foster self discovery, exploration and a love for art in each class.
