Carolee Miller
I have been teaching art at St. Edward's since 1976. As my friends are starting to retire, I still love being in the art classroom. The kindergarteners keep me going with their excitement, and the 7th and 8th graders impress me with the skills and creative talents they have acquired over the years. I am active within the Archdiocese of New Orleans, the Louisiana Art Education Association, and the National Art Education Association. I will be honored at the LAEA fall conference in Shreveport as LAEA Middle Level Educator of the Year 2013 and as an award of excellence recipient for the 2012 Youth Art Month annual report. both of these awards will also be recognized at the NAEA annual convention in Ft. Worth, TX, in March, 2013.
