Meet the Teachers  at Mt. Pleasant Area Sr. High (Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania)

	Dianne Pyda This is my 24th glorious year here at Mt. Pleasant senior high school. I have helped this program grow from 4 classes to 6, now my day is pretty full (but I love it). I enjoy everything from pottery to sculpture, from drawing to painting. I think we have many very talented students here at MP and they only help to make me a more creative artist. I always say that my students make me look good because they care so much and they ARE GOOD! My job isn't easy but it makes me a better person...and I LOVE wha ... read moret I do. So thanks for all of the support from my students, the school, and the community (let's not forget my family whom supports me 110%). I think that it is important to keep up with the latest art and be out there in the community. That is why I not only call myself an art teacher, but I also am a working artist. I create, exhibit, and sell my own paintings, pottery, and jewelry. This keeps me surrounded by art and it also helps the students to understand me as an artist. They watch me creating, they see my work, and they understand that I practice what I preach. So please, enjoy our work and try a little of your own...create for the fun of it, the relaxation of it, and the beauty of it. But most of all create for your own happiness. Send compliment
