Guardian Angel Preschool
A native of Emporia, Kansas, Mrs. Funston is the pre-kindergarten teacher along with Miss Gage. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, with an area of concentration in early childhood education, from Emporia State University. She has been teaching preschool since 1986 and has had her director's certification since 1997. Mrs. Funston has been with Guardian Angel Preschool since 2003. She, husband Ed and daughters Brittney and Claire have made Estherville their home since 2002.

Karen Gage
A lifelong area resident, Miss Gage earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a Reading and Pre-Kindergarten/ Kindergarten endorsement, from Buena Vista Univeristy. She student taught in sixth grade and kingergarten classrooms at Spencer as well as Head Start in Estherville. Miss Gage was a substitute teacher in area schools before joining Guardian Angel in January 2004, then purchasing the school in May 2004. She teaches in both Guardian Angel pre-school programs.

Virginia Garber
An Estherville resident for over 20 years, Mrs. Garber has been with Guardian Angel Preschool since 2000, having previously taught with Janet Lammers when she owned the school. Mrs. Garber teaches the Tuesday/ Thursday class with Miss Gage. In addition to Guardian Angel, Mrs. Garber has worked for the past several years at the Elks Club in Estherville. She and her husband Dale have three grown sons and eight grandchildren.
