Susan Garrison Thanks for visiting our online gallery site! In the 2011-2012 school year, I am celebrating my 14th year of teaching at Oakbrook. Over the years, I've taught a mixture of K-12th grades since our school began as an elementary school, but as we annually began adding on older grades, I kept moving up with the oldest group. Now I specialize in 6th-12th grades including an AP Studio Art class that offers advanced art students the possibility of receiving college credit. Before coming to Oakbrook, I taught K-6th grade art in TN public schools for 6 years after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a BS degree in Elem. Ed 1-8 and Art Ed K-12. I also enjoy being an artist, too, and create pieces for my own pleasure as well as commissioned paintings, drawings, and murals. My husband and I love visiting art studios and galleries together.
