Welcome to our Artsonia page! I am very happy you are here to check out what we are doing in class and the hard work your students are putting into their art pieces. This is my third year at Westview and my 5th year teaching art. I graduated from the U of M with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and a Masters from DePaul University Elementary Education. I first started teaching in Englewood, IL where I taught for 2 years until we moved up to MN. I took time off to be a stay at home mom until my littles started Kinde ... read morergarten. I have 3 children, Kirsten (12 y/o) who goes to Valley Middle, Charlotte (7 y/o) who is in Mrs. Weatherly's 2nd grade class, and Lucca (5 y/o) who is in Mrs. Brookshaw's Kindergarten class. My husband is originally from Chicago and I grew up in Plymouth, MN. I love teaching your children and love watching them learn how to create and enjoy art. If you ever would like to come into the class to help or volunteer I always have art that I'm trying to get hung up for everyone to see and enjoy. I hope you enjoy your students art work as much as I enjoyed watching them make it!
