Biography

This will be my 13th year as an art teacher at Endeavor Hall. I love it! My goal is to get students of all ages to appreciate art on all fronts and to get comfortable experimenting with many different mediums.
I want my students in discovery mode. I am encouraging creativity; coming up with one's own ideas about how to express oneself and communicate through artwork. I want my students to jump in and create something original. I also want my students to understand that art may take patience, effort, and sometimes struggle, but eventually resulting in something to be proud of.
I love to imagine what my Kindergarten students will be like when they leave our school, heading to 7th grade; how they will come to appreciate their world, how their perceptions will change, how they express themselves, and what differences they will make. I'm hoping that their art education will continue to develop their observing, problem-solving, and creative skills needed to accomplish their success in life.
