Biography

Hello!
My name is Mrs. Majo and I have been the art teacher at General Brown Central School District since 2010. Every day I am inspired by my students. I can honestly say I am working my dream job. I have wanted to be an art teacher since the first art class I ever attended in kindergarten. Throughout elementary school I was fortunate enough to participate in many extra-curricular art programs provided by my school. In high school I took advanced art, photography, ceramics, figure drawing, and some college level art courses. My elementary and high school experiences with great art teachers and programs allowed me to be very successful in college. I attended the State University of New York at Potsdam for my art training and received my PK-12 art education certificate through St. Lawrence University. I then went back to SUNY Potsdam to receive my master's degree in literacy.

My goal as your child's art teacher is to provide them with a positive art experience. I want all children in our district to have a safe place to make mistakes and express themselves. The arts will allow your child not only to grow creatively, but emotionally and socially as well. This Artsonia site is helping us every day to promote all the great things an art education can do for our youth.
