Biography

Hello! My name is Amanda Koonlaba. I am the Visual Arts Specialist at Lawhon Elementary School. I have 3 years experience teaching visual arts, and 6 years teaching elementary education in the regular and inclusive classrooms. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University and my master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. I am very enthusiastic about arts education and all forms of art. I have been an avid visual arts lover and maker throughout my entire life. When I became an art teacher, I was able to merge my two great passions, arts and education, into one career. I am so happy to be able to share these with the students I teach.
