Biography

Welcome to the Waxahachie Preparatory Academy Art Gallery!

Teaching visual arts to our students from kindergarten through 12th grade is a true joy. Having earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at El Paso with a focus in ceramics and metalwork, I have taught across public school districts in Texas and Missouri—and I can wholeheartedly say that teaching at WPA is the highlight of my career. Our students and families make this community extraordinary.

As you explore and celebrate your student's wonderful creations, please keep in mind that every purchase made through Artsonia directly supports our classroom. A portion of all custom gifts ordered for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions comes right back to our program. These funds allow us to maintain a vibrant, high-quality studio space—replenishing core essentials like watercolor paper, clay, glazes, markers, and brushes so our young artists always have the best tools to work with.
