Biography

Briana Bartlett is starting her 18th year as an art teacher at Oskaloosa Elementary School. She teaches kinder-prep through 5th grade and enjoys seeing students create, learn and grow. In 2013 she graduated with her masters of education from Viterbo University. Outside of school, Briana stays busy with FACE (Fine Arts & Cultural Events) of Mahaska County. With the FACE organization, Briana is a board member and helps out with classes at the Oskaloosa Art Center & Studios and helps coordinate the Oskaloosa Sculpture Tour. She enjoys traveling whenever she gets the opportunity. She traveled with the People to People Student Ambassador program from 2007 - 2014, traveling overseas with 5th through 8th graders during the summers and traveled to China in the summer of 2018 to teach for two weeks.

Briana grew up in Keokuk, Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. She enjoys working with many different media, from clay and sculpture to sketching and painting. She loves to ride her bike, read and is coming around to gardening.
