Biography

Hello everyone! My name is Miss Voth (rhymes with “both”) and I am the Art Teacher at Heartland Elementary School in Blue Valley. I am thrilled to begin my teaching career at HRT with the most fantastic students, supportive staff members, and amazing BV community.

I grew up in Newton, KS, just north of Wichita. My favorite teacher growing up was my elementary art teacher, who I also get to call, Mom.

I graduated from the University of Kansas in Spring 2021 with a degree in Visual Art Education and Dance. At KU I had the amazing opportunity to take courses in painting, drawing, printmaking, metals & jewelry, textiles & fibers, expanded media, and photography. I hope to bring these invaluable experiences into my classroom and expose my students to new ways of art making and expression.
