Meet Ashleigh Garrett

Biography
Hamlin artist, Ashleigh Garrett, is a Marshall alumni and lifetime resident of West Virginia. She graduated in 2016 with her BFA in graphic design and again in 2020 with her MAT in Art Education. After graduating in 2016, Ashleigh worked in the graphic design field as a marketing assistant, and briefly marketing director, for the corporate office of Tudor’s and Gino’s, but since 2018 has taken the path of an art educator to 6-12th grade students. Ashleigh has had work featured in various local, state, and national exhibitions from Huntington, West Virginia to as far as San Rafael, California and in 2019 was accepted as a Tamarack Artist. She was also recently accepted into her first international group exhibition titled “True Beauty”. Ashleigh is also the Vice President of the Lincoln County Friends of the Arts organization and taught community classes prior to the ongoing pandemic. Her work is often inspired by vibrant spirits and emotions that we feel throughout our lives. She strives to share how the world looks through her eyes.
