Biography

Hello McKelvey Primary Families!

My name is Jayme Durrwachter a.k.a. Mrs. D!

I have been teaching young artists in Missouri, Texas and New Mexico for the past 19 years.

I began as a porcelain potter, but I found a love for painting during a watercolor class that I took from a retired teacher about 15 years ago. Most of the art I create now are watercolors of landscapes, animals and houses (for realtors) and pet portraits using acrylic on glass.

When visiting McKevley Primary you will see a few murals I have done throughout the school. The largest mural being the front courtyard that I completed during the summer of 2022.

I look forward to teaching your young artists and watching them grow.
