Biography

My name is Mrs. Julie Jenkins I was born and raised in rural Ottawa, Illinois. My Academic background: IVCC - A.A. in Art; SIU-Carbondale - B.S. in Art Education; currently in the M.A. in Art Education program at EIU and hope to graduate May 2022. I taught Art and many other subjects at Washington School/Parkside School for 20 years. I am married with two children and enjoy painting and photography. I am the co-founder of North Central Illinois ARTworks. Additionally, a member of the WallDogs and project manager for the 4 children’s murals created in Streator. My artwork has been exhibited in numerous galleries/venues throughout the area. I am also a member of the Illinois/National Art Education Associations.
