Biography

Linda grew up in Youngstown, Ohio and lived there until she was 26 years old. She is the 5th out of ten children. As a young girl, Linda attended a Catholic Grade school; (someone could probably guess that after reading the 2nd sentence), graduated from Struthers High School then went on to Youngstown State University where her mother worked. She moved to Illinois and received a B.F.A from N.I.U. with a major in electronic imaging (computer graphics.) After graduating from N.I.U., she moved to Lake in the Hills where she had two daughters. Once the girls were both enrolled in school;D47, Linda began substitute teaching in Crystal Lake in 1998. The family then moved to Cary and she pursued a Master's in Education from National-Louis University & a Special Ed endorsement from University of Phoenix. Linda taught many different grade levels in three school districts & was amazed to have her dream of being an art teacher come true in 2011. After all, that was her major at Y.S.U. in 1974! Linda has taken (and will continue to take) advantages & opportunities to continue to see the world. She's had wonderful experiences traveling to England, Scotland, Germany, Mexico, France, Italy, Monaco, Ireland & Wales. These opportunities allow her to continue experiencing unique art from all over the world in order to share knowledge with the students. This makes for a wonderful concoction of passion and creativity that she wants to pass on to her students.
