Biography

My name is Ms. Jillian. I am so excited to continue my career as the Art Teacher & Specials Team Lead at Detroit Prep. While this is my seventh year at DP, the 2024-2025 school year will be my 11th year teaching in the city of Detroit. Prior to teaching I spent a lot of time in the city as a Wayne State University student. Outside of teaching, some of things that bring me immense joy are crafting, up-cycling, learning how to cook, reading on my patio, and walking with my husband and toddler at the end of the day. I am a plant lady who is also obsessed with the color red, Frida Kahlo, the ocean, fairytales, all things sustainable/eco-friendly and outer space. :)
