Biography

Art is all I know! I graduated from University of North Texas majoring in Visual Art Studies and minoring in Education. At UNT, I worked on metal smithing, watercolor, and sculpture classes. My professors modeled me into the well rounded teacher I am today. After student teaching in Frisco, TX, I moved out west to coach and teach art at Hall Middle School in Weatherford, TX. After that adventure, I decided to move back home to the DFW area and taught in Garland, TX at Shugart Elementary for the next five years. Shugart had never had an art teacher, so I got to build the program from the ground up. Now, I am back to my middle school roots and loving every minute of it.

I adore gallery hopping and going to festivals when I'm not busy helping out my school with sports games, after school activities, or watching my students' perform.
