Biography

Hello Parents & Student Artists!

I am Ms. A. and I have been teaching art in the Bronx on Tinton Ave. for 9 years now. My curriculum is firmly grounded in using art as a means of communicating ideas about daily life and the world around us. I believe strongly in preparing my students to value art, the art process and artistic techniques. I encourage exploration in all media and welcome a sense of creativity and individualism. Art provides a means of personal expression, reflection and understanding. Art history provides a platform for growth in all areas of the curriculum. I am a strong advocate for exposing my students to famous works of art that reflect the history of our landscapes, our people and our cultures. Art is the voice of the soul. I <3 ART!
