Biography

My BS is in Human Resource Management. I also hold an MLS in History. Art has been my passion and my life for as long as I can remember. From learning to sew at the age of 5 to experimenting with melted crayon at 7 [that one did not end well!] All forms of art fascinate me. As a young woman I spent three years as a professional sculptor for Just For Happy Studios in Oklahoma City, OK. I have been a member of various art organizations including Sandhills Art Association in Garden City, KS. Computer programming, graphics and web design are also part of my repertoire. I have been an art teacher for the past 12 years in various school systems throughout KS. My current art passions run more to the fiber arts such as quilting and crochet. Painting and drawing are important means of expression for me and my students. Art is more than a discipline, it is a method we use to relieve stress and show the world a part of us that would be inexpressible any other way.
