Biography

Hello!
I'm so excited to be the art teacher at Southport Elementary! I have a wonderfully creative group of students and I can't wait to showcase their incredible artwork here on Artsonia. Art has always been an important part of my life and something that I share with my family and friends. I studied art throughout high school - ceramics, photography, drawing, stained glass, jewelry making and more. I continued my studies at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC with a focus on photography, painting and sculpture. I also majored in Corporate Communication and minored in Art History. I went back to school at Coastal Carolina in Conway, SC (close to Myrtle Beach) where I received my Masters Degree to teach art (certified K-12). I moved here to North Carolina in 2011 and I finally feel like I have found my home! I hope that this online gallery will be a great way for my students to share their love for art with all of their family and friends!
