The goal of the elementary art program is to encourage the creativity of students, gain an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the visual arts while providing a positive, fun and engaging classroom.
We will do this by exploring as many different art mediums as possible including 2D and 3D, by becoming efficient with many different art techniques and by learning about many art concepts. We will continually learn about and be able to incorporate the elements of art and the principles of design.
We will learn about the masters of art and other artists, become familiar with the art history timeline as well as art from around the world.
We will become aware of artistic presentation, critiques, and careers.
We will continue to grow and become knowledgeable with art vocabulary.
