W.O.W. Project #2: Dream

This WOW project had students thinking about dreams. What dreams do you remember having while you were sleeping? Did they wake you up? How did you feel when you woke up about your dream? Maybe it was a dream they had while they were daydreaming on a long car ride, or maybe even at school. Students could also have decided to make about about a dream they have; a dream house, a dream vacation or going to see your favorite musical artist and getting to meet them. Students then saw how famous surrealist artists like Salvador Dali, Dorothea Tanning, Rene Magritte, Joan Miro and Marc Chagall used dreams to make their artwork. Next, students brainstormed, sketched, conferenced with a peer to get ideas about their sketch and then made their final plan. Then they met with me and picked a center to work in.
