Compassion is caring for others' needs and taking action to help them. In this project, students are creating compassion critters that represent the four qualities of compassion. 1. Observe: Compassionate people see and notice when someone may need help. An eye on each critter represents this. 2. Understand: Compassionate people take time to listen and know someone's point of view. An ear represents this. 3. Connect: Compassionate people build relationships with people who are different from us. This is represented by a heart. 4. Act: Compassionate people take action. When they see someone is hurting, they ask how they can help and take action without expecting anything in return. This is represented by hands. These drawings will be transformed into little compassion critter stuffies!
