Art Preview 20-21 School Year

In the art room, students have been exploring different media to describe still life genres like apples and pumpkins and using their artistic behavior of observation to make their artwork more realistic. Students have also been using their imaginations to explore classic artworks like the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer by Gustav Klimt. We explored emphasis and design with International Dot Day using the element of shape (circles) and are moving into silly Halloween themes like the character Love Monster by Rachel Bright. Students are learning how to measure when they create their compositions to make more accurate representations of their subjects and place features in the correct location.
