This year all AES students learned about a variety of Black American artists and created artwork inspired what we saw and learned! We spent time looking at each artist's work, describing what we noticed and having a class discussion to share our thoughts and ideas. We learned some interesting facts about the artists lives and their artwork along the way too! Then we explored, practiced and used a variety of art materials and techniques to create our own piece of artwork inspired by these artists signature styles.
