Journal Cover Paintings - 1st - 8th Grades

The first project of every school year for 1st - 8th Grades are acrylic paintings on canvas for their writing journal covers.  Each class has a theme:  1st did aboriginal inspired dot trails around their handprints, 2nd painted a butterfly on flowers, 3rd imaged a nocturnal owl, 4th did an autumnal White Mountain landscape, 5th painted the school pond, 6th imagined Medieval stained glass windows, 7th copied a painting by either van Gogh or Monet, and 8th designed their own Grandma Moses inspired landscape.
