Biblioburro from Columbia

In fall of 2021 our first and second graders learned about Luis Soriano, a teacher in the small town of La Gloria, Colombia, who has spent the past ten years bringing books to children of the rural communities on the back of his donkeys. We read a picture book based on this true story, and also watched a video of Luis describing his work and why he does it. Then we used paint and collage to create our own biblioburros!
