Double Pinch Pot PUMPKIINS & Fall Choice

Students first learned how to create single and then double pinch pots. They slipped and scored two together, edge to edge and manipulated the clay to become pumpkin shaped. They created and added details to their pumpkins such as stems, leaves, vines, jack-o-lantern faces, and luminary openings. Their choice project was anything FALL. They used a variety of building techniques such as slabs, coils, draped armatures and subtractive sculpture. Students created a variety of Fall themed pieces such as pumpkins, ghosts, plates, and jack-o-lanterns.
