Laurel Burch Cats

Our sixth graders were inspired by the 60’s artist Laurel Burch. Ms. Burch had an amazing life as an artist who struggled to get started and was stricken with a rare bone disease. She always exhibited a happy and persevering attitude. Our students chose a a cat to draw and paint in her colorful style. Line,shape, design,and color theory were emphasized.
