Spring Art Show 2022- Preschool

The Preschool students have been hard at work in the brand new Preschool Atelier, or art studio space, this school year. In Ms Smart's class, the three and four year olds started off the school year studying firefighters and made some amazing fire trucks out of egg cartons and recycled materials, and melted crayon fire paintings based on the work of Spephanie Peters. Ms Russell's class did a long study of Space and they did several projects based on the planets, phases of the moon, and the northern lights. The artists highlighted this school year include: Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Enrico Baj, Stephanie Peters, Alma Thomas, Eric Carle, Vincent Van Gogh, and Jae Yong Kim. The Preschool artists used a variety of materials in their work including: tempera, paper collage, liquid watercolor, clay, papier-mache, oil pastel, and chalk pastel.
