Close up with Georgia O'Keeffe

Fourth graders learned to look closely at flowers. They drew beautifully detailed contour line drawings, and then cropped them using a viewfinder. They used a simplified grid method to scale the drawings onto large poster board. Then, they used oil pastels to complete the designs, showing smooth transitions of value from dark to light.
