2nd-Fall Leaf Batik Banners

Second Graders created their "batiks" using leaf shapes. Students drew out their shapes, traced with black marker, and placed it under the fabric. To make this technique kid friendly (instead of the hot wax that is typically used in batik) we used Elmer's gel glue. Once dry, students used fabric paint to fill in color on the surface of the fabric.
