Color Theory Giraffe

Students learned all about mixing the secondary colors to create their own giraffe portrait. We pretended we were going on a safari and talked about what kinds of things would be in our picture of the giraffe like trees, hills, and grass BUT students got to choose what colors each item was painted. In their safari some giraffes are blue and some grass is purple! Students needed to showcase the primary colors by painting one thing blue, one thing yellow, and one thing red. For the secondary colors, students mixed their own and follow the same process as the primary.
