Artist Statement (what Mason19273 said about their artwork)
My favorite part of the cityscape was probably painting because I liked tinting the colors.
About this School Project (Winter Citiscapes)
What a fun way to celebrate winter! Artists began by learning about different types of "scapes"...landscapes, seascapes and city scapes. Types of structures were considered for their own personal city. The 1st step was painting a beautiful sky. Artists learned about tints (a color plus white) and learned to gently blend the 2 to create a morning, evening or night sky. Next, paper structures were constructed complete with windows, doors, roofs, balconies and whatever else they wanted. The art was finished with some white paint for falling snow!
