Artist Statement (what Mila1118 said about their artwork)
My favorite part of this is the color of it and my least favorite part of this is how the middle of the flower isn't the same as the rest of it. My inspiration of my project is that I like planting flowers, so I made a pot to hold things with a flower lid. I would change how I made the flower. I would do this because I want all the petals to match, so it doesn't look weird. To create this I made a pinch pot as the pot. For the actual flower part I used slab pieces and shaped them. To put the petals on I scored it and then put a little bit of slip on so it would stick and not fall off.
About this School Project (Clay Creations)
5th and 6th graders chose their own clay project. They learned about hand construction methods with clay and made a plan on how and what methods they would use to build their clay project idea.
