Artist Statement (what Elizabeth14843 said about their artwork)
My favorite part of this artwork is the Yin and Yang symbol. My lease favorite part is the mouth.
My inspiration was Yin and Yang (good and bad).
If I were to create this again I would change the mouth because I think it didn't really turn out the way I wanted it to.
Some concepts I learned was Paper Mache and what armatures.
Something that surprised me was the Yin and Yang symbol because it actually looks like the symbol.
First I got an armature of a face and baby oiled it. Then I made Paper Mache paste and glued newspaper to the face. Then (out of carboard) I cut out the Yin and Yang symbol and glued it on. After that I cut out the sun and moon painted them and glued them. Then I painted the whole thing and I was finished.
