About this School Project (Picture the Music 2021-2022 Kindergarten)
Students participated in this year's Picture the Music competition put on by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Students listened to the 4th movement of Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5. As a class students contributed to a list of ideas of what the music reminded them of, made them feel, or made them think of. Students then decided on a drawing that represented the music to them. Seven students works from our school are submitted to the SLSO for the competition.
