About this School Project (Non-Objective Impasto Paintings)
Intro to Art students explored non-objective art with this impasto painting project. Students studied Hans Hofman, an American painter, and his use of color and impasto. These non-objective designs started with a layer of modeling paste to create the texture and were then completed with washes of acrylic paint and a final protective coating. The objective of this project to create art not based on any object but instead the focus was on color and texture.
