About this School Project (Second Grade Penguins)
Second grade practiced using their observation skills by first studying pictures of penguins and identifying what makes a penguin look like a penguin. After some practice sketches, they used ink daubers to create their own penguin that filled up the large 12 x 18 paper. Finally, they practiced proper brush technique to create spirals and other movement lines in their cool, winter inspired background with liquid watercolors.
