About this School Project (Sunflowers - Line only)
Students looked at real sunflowers and "translated" what they saw (color and form) into line. An example was shown of a pen and ink drawing with a great variety of cross-hatching and other uses of thick and thin line. Students looked through a simple view finder to block out extraneous items in the room and plan their composition in pencil. Then students used 4 different kinds of black markers to produce their project.
