About this School Project (K: Starry Night Sunflowers)
Students learned about artist Vincent Van Gogh and we looked at 2 of his most famous paintings; "Starry Night "and "Sunflowers". The first day students drew pumpkins and sunflowers and colored them in with crayon. The second day students created their Starry Night skies by making broken dashed lines around the stars and moon in the style of Van Gogh! We explored crayon resist painting by painting over top of our crayon markings with liquid watercolor.
