Artist Statement (what Valeria2703 said about their artwork)
I made the hat by the help of Mrs Reel, I made a pot and shaped it like a hat. Then I added the front. Then I added lines and small details, and added a heart on the front. And the way I made the heart was I was thinking of making something flat that I could put stuff on so I made it brown and made a heart.
The hat was challenging for me but I tried my best.
About this School Project (Adventures with Clay)
Artists are working to develop their skills working with clay, a three-dimensional medium. Students learned handbuilding techniques including pinch pot, coil, and slab. Students planned to create an item that could represent "adventure," such as an item to take on an exploration, a treasure, or a location.
