Artist Statement (what William34229 said about their artwork)
First, I drew a circle around the circle and made the dots. Next, I popped holes around the circle and placed the string through the holes and colored the background. Last, I placed the string through the whole thing and I was done.
About this School Project (String Art)
Fourth grade artists drew simple, geometric designs inspired by Cuban American artist, Carmen Herrera, using neon paint sticks for the circle base of their string art. First, they planned their string art design. Next, they learned how to thread a needle and secure their yarn. Then, they sewed their string art using yarn. Last, they wrote an artist statement.
