About this School Project (K Abstracts)
Students observed and questioned Piet Mondrian's abstract artworks. We learned about the primary colors and were able to identify and make big and small cutout shapes. We furthered that understanding to include that shapes can stand-alone or overlap and touch. Finally, students added patterns to the black edges of their arts. If time allowed students also added vertical and horizontal stamped lines for a fun finished touch.
