About this School Project (Starry Night Pumpkin Patches)
Fourth graders drew pumpkin patches for the fall season! They learned that objects in the foreground appear larger to make them look closer to us and objects in the background appear smaller to make them look further away. We blended different colors of oil pastel to show value change, darkest to lightest. We also learned a little bit about artist Vincent Van Gogh and his very famous painting Starry Night. We incorporated his style of using short choppy lines to represent wind and created a variety of different types of stars. Awesome pumpkin patches fourth grade and each one unique! Please compliment your favorite artist!
