About this School Project (Bats in the Night)

Kindergarten students drew and cut out bats from the fold in their white paper to make a symmetrical shape. A black piece was added after their drawings were ok'd so they cut out "ghost bats" with black bats at the same time. They used their shapes as a stencil to paint a fiery sky using red, orange, and yellow paint with a sponge. They added their black bats over their stenciled shapes and only glued down the head and body to make the wings look 3-D.
