About this School Project (Midnight Owls 3rd Grade)
Third graders discussed several types of line designs. After our discussion, we put all of those lines to work and created owls. Students were asked to apply three different line designs to the body of their owls, trace with sharpie, and apply oil pastel in bright bold colors. The final step was to apply black tempera paint to their entire paper, creating the night sky.
